ROLE
– Lead a team of HSE specialists and contribute to improving Health, Safety, and environmental performance
– Report HSE incidents and feedback on lessons learned and best practice
– Implement policies and standards
– Ensure area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit
– Assist line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liability, and how to fulfill their roles
– Facilitate comprehensive HSE risk assessments
– Drive behavioral change through implementing performance improvement programs
– Engage external and internal stakeholders to report on and raise awareness of Hitachi Energy’s HSE efforts
– Participate in defining the annual budget for the area of responsibility
– Contribute to and/or plan and execute HSE, Sustainability, and Corporate Responsibility related projects
– Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

REQUIREMENTS
– Preferred bachelor’s degree or Diploma in electrical/mechanical environmental engineering
– Completion of an OSHA training program is an added advantage
– Strong technical knowledge in construction activities
– Knowledge about workplace risk assessment methodologies and techniques
– Strong Leadership and organization skills
– Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
– Ability to Audit and Incident Reporting
– In-depth knowledge of country legislation and procedures
– Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
– Good in verbal and written communication and demonstration
– Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required
