ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES
– Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from financial systems, third-party APIs, and internal sources
– Develop and optimize data models for analytics, reporting, and regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, transaction monitoring)
– Ensure data quality, security, and integrity across all systems in compliance with financial standards
– Implement robust data governance practices including lineage and metadata management
– Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and compliance teams to gather and deliver on data requirements
– Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance
– Contribute to internal documentation and data engineering best practices
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
– 2+ years of experience in data engineering (preferably in fintech or financial services)
– Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server)
– Hands-on with big data frameworks (Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink)
– Proficient in Python, Scala, or Java for data pipelines
– Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.)
– Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow
– Understanding of regulatory data standards (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC2)
– Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in fast-paced environments
– Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
– Experience with real-time data streaming / event-driven architectures
– Familiarity with payment systems or transactional data pipelines
– Knowledge of encryption and security best practices in fintech
– Experience in data warehousing design and performance tuning
– Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows
