ROLE
– VC Research & Targeting: Identify and map global and domestic VC firms and institutional investors actively investing in Series A stage
– Pipeline Management: Manage the investor pipeline CRM, schedule meetings, and ensure timely follow-ups with prospective investors
– Data Room Management: Prepare and maintain a robust, up-to-date virtual data room for due diligence
– Strategic Finance & Analytics
– Market Sizing & Competition: Conduct deep-dive research to quantify market size and build competitive landscape matrices
– Financial Modeling: Maintain and understand complex financial models from scratch, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow projections, and scenario analysis
– Valuation Analysis: Assist in preparing valuation analyses using various methodologies
– Debt Funding & NBFC Onboarding
– End-to-End Onboarding: Lead the entire lifecycle of NBFC partnerships
– Proposal Creation: Draft detailed term sheets and proposal decks tailored to the NBFC’s credit committee requirements
– Technical Due Diligence: Coordinate with internal tech and ops teams to provide NBFCs with the necessary data
– Structuring Deals: Negotiate interest rates, tenures, and processing fees
– Portfolio Monitoring: Set up reporting mechanisms to provide asset performance tracks to lender partners
REQUIREMENTS
– 2-4 years of experience in a high-intensity environment
– Prior Experience: Investment Bank, Venture Capital or Private Equity firm, NBFC or Debt Fund, or Startup in a founder’s office, finance, or strategy role
– Deal Experience: Proven track record of working on a fundraise or executing an investment transaction
– Financial Modeling: Proficiency in advanced Excel
– Research Acumen: Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
– Debt & NBFC Knowledge: Understanding of debt instruments, especially asset-backed financing
– Familiarity with RBI regulations regarding NBFCs and co-lending models
– Pitch Deck: Proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides
– Founder’s Mentality: High ownership, bias for action, and ability to operate in an ambiguous environment
– Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Negotiation: Comfortable participating in discussions regarding terms, valuation, and legal clauses
