ROLE
– Lead and oversee end-to-end product development, system integration, and project execution activities across smart metering and utility domains
– Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Smart Metering products
– Define product roadmaps, functional specifications, and technical architecture for AMR/AMI systems
– Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate advanced analytics, IoT, and cloud-based capabilities into product offerings
– Collaborate with engineering, UI/UX, QA, and business teams to ensure high-quality, user-centric solutions
– Manage end-to-end integration of smart metering systems with utility infrastructure, ERP, billing systems, and third-party applications
– Ensure seamless interoperability between meters, communication modules, data concentrators, HES/MDM, and field infrastructure
– Conduct system validation, performance testing, and troubleshooting across distributed systems
– Develop integration frameworks, APIs, and data pipelines aligned with industry standards
– Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of large-scale metering and utility projects
– Drive project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
– Oversee field deployments, commissioning, UAT, and operational handover
– Manage vendor relationships, SLA compliance, and procurement for hardware/software components
– Provide deep domain insights on utility business processes
– Support utilities in loss reduction initiatives, demand forecasting, and operational efficiency improvements
– Ensure product and solution compliance with regulatory guidelines, metering standards, and utility norms
– Conduct or oversee power system studies, including load flow, fault analysis, harmonics, and network optimization for distribution systems
– Recommend system upgrades, network strengthening measures, and optimization strategies for improved reliability and efficiency
REQUIREMENTS
– Experience with utility billing, meter data analytics, and loss reduction methodologies
– Understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, databases, and cybersecurity best practices
– Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in technical and operational environments
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
– Ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments with large project volumes
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics, or related fields
– 10–18 years of experience in Smart Metering, Utility Operations, Power Systems, or related technology domains
– Prior experience leading product development or large-scale AMI/utility technology rollouts is highly desirable
