ROLE
– Establish and standardize contract management frameworks across SPVs
– Develop SOPs for claims management, change-in-law tracking, and compliance reporting
– Create and manage centralized MIS, dashboards, and risk registers
– Ensure alignment across EPC, PPA, O&M, and financing obligations
– Draft, review, negotiate, and administer EPC Contracts, Supply Agreements, PPAs, and O&M Contracts
– Manage the entire contract lifecycle from bid stage to project close-out
– Interpret complex clauses and provide risk-based commercial guidance
– Manage PPAs across multiple states and off-takers
– Lead change-in-law claims and ensure compliance with state-level regulatory frameworks
– Ensure back-to-back alignment between EPC contracts and PPA SCOD timelines
– Monitor milestones, performance guarantees, and LD exposure
– Evaluate and settle variation orders and EOT claims
– Drive commercial close-out and defect liability management
– Standardize O&M contract structures across portfolio
– Track availability guarantees, PR/CUF performance, and incentives
– Identify cost optimization and renegotiation opportunities
– Ensure compliance with project financing agreements
– Support refinancing and restructuring initiatives
– Maintain a portfolio-wide commercial risk register
– Lead preparation and defense of claims
– Manage disputes and arbitration processes
– Minimize revenue leakage and contractual exposure
REQUIREMENTS
– 10–12+ years in renewable energy / IPP commercial management
– Experience managing multi-state SPV portfolios in India
– Exposure to group captive structures and compliance
– LLB / MBA / Master’s in Finance / Contracts
– Engineering background preferred
– Strong understanding of PPA structures and Indian power regulations
– Expertise in change-in-law and tariff mechanisms
– Advanced negotiation and dispute resolution skills
– Ability to engage with senior leadership, investors, and lenders
– Strong governance, documentation, and commercial discipline
