ROLE
– Lead the company’s engagement with central and state government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
– Monitor, analyze, and interpret policy and regulatory developments in renewable energy, green hydrogen, storage, transmission, carbon markets, etc.
– Advocate for supportive policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks to advance renewable energy deployment.
– Represent the company in public forums, industry platforms, and working groups.
– Develop and execute the organization’s government relations and policy advocacy strategy aligned with business goals.
– Build strong networks with policymakers, bureaucrats, thought leaders, multilateral agencies, and NGOs.
– Position the company as a thought leader in clean energy transition and sustainability.
– Drive partnerships and collaborations to support the growth of renewable energy and associated businesses.
– Conduct research on global energy trends, climate change policies, and evolving market mechanisms.
– Provide insights and advisory to the leadership team on potential risks, opportunities, and emerging trends in the policy space.
– Prepare policy briefs, white papers, and advocacy documents.
– Work closely with business, CSR, ESG, and legal teams to ensure alignment of policy advocacy with organizational objectives.
– Support business development teams with regulatory intelligence and policy clarity.
– Educate internal stakeholders on policy shifts and their implications.

REQUIREMENTS
– 15+ years of experience in policy advocacy, government relations, or strategic affairs, with at least 7 years in leadership roles.
– Strong understanding of India’s renewable energy sector, climate policies, and global sustainability frameworks.
– Demonstrated ability to influence senior policymakers and industry stakeholders.
– Exceptional communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
– Experience in drafting policy notes, regulatory submissions, and position papers.
– Ability to think strategically with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Visionary mindset with passion for clean energy transition.
– High integrity and ability to handle sensitive government relations tactfully.
– Strong leadership and team management abilities.
– Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
