ROLE
– Manage end-to-end production activities for the cell manufacturing lines
– Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved
– Monitor OEE, yield, scrap levels, and implement corrective actions
– Maintain strict control on process parameters to ensure cell consistency and quality
– Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive & breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime
– Work closely with Quality team to maintain product standards
– Conduct root-cause analysis for deviations, defects, and line rejections
– Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, and internal quality standards
– Implement SOPs, control plans, and PFMEA in production lines
– Lead a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators in multi-shift operations
– Plan manpower deployment and training schedules
– Drive skill development for operators on new machines and technologies
– Ensure team discipline, attendance, and performance management
– Promote a strong EHS culture across the plant
– Enforce safety protocols, LOTO, and PPE usage
– Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
– Lead Kaizen, Lean, 5S, and cost-reduction projects
– Work on yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, and energy optimization
– Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams for process upgrades and new product trials

REQUIREMENTS
– B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
– 6–12 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in: Lithium-ion cell manufacturing, Lead-acid battery cell production, Advanced materials or electrode manufacturing, Electronics/automotive component manufacturing
– Experience in managing production teams in a medium-to-large scale plant
– Strong understanding of cell manufacturing processes
– Knowledge of production planning, OEE, Lean, TPM
– Experience with automated production machinery and PLC-based systems
– Strong leadership and team management skills
– Analytical and problem-solving ability
– Good communication and cross-functional collaboration
– Ability to work under pressure and in multi-shift environments
