ROLE
– Plan and oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of feeder and DT meters across the distribution network.
– Validate system metering locations in coordination with utility feeder hierarchy and network topology.
– Ensure proper CT/PT connections, meter wiring, polarity checks, and sealing procedures during installation.
– Coordinate shutdowns and site readiness with utility officials to ensure smooth installation activities.
– Ensure seamless integration of feeder and DT meters with HES and MDMS platforms.
– Monitor meter data flow, communication success rates, and system data availability.
– Identify and resolve data gaps, communication failures, and synchronisation issues between system meters and AMI platforms.
– Work closely with IT and AMI platform teams to maintain reliable system metering data streams.
– Support implementation of feeder-wise and DT-wise energy accounting across the distribution network.
– Analyse metering data to identify technical losses, energy imbalance, and potential AT&C loss areas.
– Prepare periodic energy audit reports and performance analysis dashboards.
– Assist the utility in improving network visibility and loss reduction strategies.
– Monitor communication status, meter health, and data reliability of feeder and DT meters.
– Track and resolve non-communicating or faulty system meters.
– Conduct root cause analysis for system metering issues and coordinate corrective actions with field teams and OEMs.
– Provide technical guidance to field engineers, technicians, and vendor teams involved in system metering deployment and maintenance.
– Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for feeder and DT meters.
– Ensure timely resolution of system metering faults affecting energy accounting or communication.
– Participate in technical review meetings and project progress discussions with the utility.
– Ensure compliance with CEA Metering Regulations and utility technical standards.
– Coordinate with meter OEMs, communication service providers, and AMI platform vendors.
– Support monitoring of vendor performance related to system metering installation and maintenance.
– Validate execution reports and technical data before submission for internal review.
– Maintain accurate records of feeder and DT meter installations, asset registers, and commissioning reports.
– Track system metering database including meter status, communication health, and maintenance history.
– Prepare periodic technical reports, system performance summaries, and progress updates for management and utility review.

REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
– 8–12 years of experience in the power distribution or energy utility sector.
– Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in AMI / Smart Metering projects.
– Experience in feeder metering, DT metering, energy accounting, and distribution network monitoring.
– Strong understanding of distribution system metering and feeder hierarchy.
– Knowledge of AMI architecture and HES–MDMS integration.
– Familiarity with meter communication protocols such as DLMS/COSEM.
– Knowledge of CEA Metering Regulations and utility technical standards.
– Strong coordination skills for utility officials, field teams, and technology vendors.
– Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, dashboards, and reporting tools.
