ROLE
– Monitor air, water, noise, vibration, emissions, and soil quality; implement mitigation measures.
– Ensure compliance with CPCB, SPCB, and CGWA guidelines and submit periodic returns for e-waste, plastic waste, hazardous waste, and water usage.
– Apply for new and renewal of CTO, CTE, CGWA, hazardous waste authorizations, NOCs, and permits.
– Manage hazardous waste as per Hazardous Waste Management Rules.
– Maintain and report environmental compliance data including Form 3, Form 4, CTO conditions, and Environment Statement.
– Operate and maintain ETP/STP and air pollution control devices; maintain daily log sheets and MIS.
– Lead internal and external environmental audits and inspections.
– Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 requirements and support sustainability reporting initiatives.
– Implement water management and water balancing programs.
– Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and SOPs across all operations.
– Ensure implementation of machine safety, confined space entry, and chemical safety procedures and permit systems.
– Organize safety training, toolbox talks, mock drills, and safety inductions.
– Conduct safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments.
– Investigate incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions.
– Maintain records of incidents, near-misses, and accident investigations.
– Ensure placement of appropriate safety signage and dissemination of safety guidelines.
– Develop, implement, and train for emergency preparedness plans.
– Conduct mock drills regularly to ensure emergency readiness.
– Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans and ensure team readiness.
– Coordinate with external agencies during emergencies.
– Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards.
– Independently manage ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 documentation and audits.
– Prepare and maintain EHS manuals, SOPs, records, and compliance registers.
– Liaise with certification bodies and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
– Ensure continual improvement in system implementation, policy review, and corrective actions.
REQUIREMENTS
– Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
– Additional certifications preferred: Fire Safety, First Aid.
