ROLE
– Conduct technical feasibility studies for BESS projects with grid integration
– Support sizing and configuration of battery systems for renewable integration, peak shaving and grid stability
– Evaluate different battery technologies
– Perform load flow, short circuit and stability analysis using tools such as ETAP, PSCAD or MATLAB
– Study grid integration of renewable energy with BESS
– Analyze grid congestion, voltage regulation and frequency control requirements
– Assist in preparation of DPRs, feasibility reports and technical specifications
– Support preparation of RFPs / tenders for BESS procurement and EPC contracts
– Conduct techno-economic analysis and financial modelling for storage and RE projects
– Support implementation of grid codes, OREP policy 2022, CEA regulations and storage policies
– Analyze ancillary services, RTC/FDRE power requirements and market opportunities for BESS
– Coordinate with utilities, DISCOMs, transmission companies, regulators, and technology providers
– End to End Support for project implementation and monitoring
REQUIREMENTS
– B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems
– Strong knowledge of power system analysis and grid integration
– Experience with BESS design and storage technologies
– Familiarity with CEA regulations, grid codes, Electricity Act, 2003 and renewable policies
– Knowledge of solar, wind, and hybrid renewable projects and upcoming RE technologies
– Minimum 5 Years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects
– Exposure to BESS tenders, EPC contracts and system integration
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in the power sector
– Experience in policy advisory and power sector reforms
– Strong technical writing and reporting skills
