ROLE
– Lead end-to-end electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, and control engineering for a large-scale glass manufacturing facility.
– Ensure high plant availability, electrical safety, process stability, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
– Lead commissioning, operations, maintenance, reliability improvement, and modernization of E&I infrastructure including HT/LT systems, substations, furnaces, batch plants, IS machines, annealing lehrs, utilities, and plant automation.
– Manage power quality, load balancing, energy optimization, and electrical safety across the plant.
– Oversee instrumentation systems including temperature, pressure, flow, level, analyzers, weighing systems, and process sensors.
– Lead plant automation using PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and advanced control systems for glass manufacturing processes.
– Establish preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs for E&I assets.
– Implement CMMS / SAP PM systems for maintenance planning, tracking, and reporting.
– Lead E&I scope for new projects, expansions, brownfield upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
– Manage detailed engineering, vendor coordination, FAT/SAT, installation, testing, and commissioning.
– Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
– Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules, Factory Act, PESO, CEA, and statutory norms.
– Lead electrical safety audits, hazard identification, LOTO systems, and emergency preparedness.
– Lead and mentor a team of Electrical Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers, Automation Specialists, and Technicians.
– Build succession plans, skill matrices, training programs, and competency development for E&I teams.
– Foster a culture of safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
– Manage OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and service providers.
– Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, manage AMC/CMC agreements, and ensure service quality.

REQUIREMENTS
– Strong expertise in HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, MCCs, VFDs
– Hands-on experience with PLC / DCS / SCADA / HMI
– Instrumentation systems: sensors, analyzers, control valves, field devices
– Energy management and power optimization
– SAP PM / CMMS exposure
– B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering
– Post-graduate qualifications or certifications in Automation / Power Systems / Energy Management preferred
– Proven experience at Manager / Senior Manager level in large manufacturing plants
