ROLE
– Perform energy yield assessments for large scale utility-scale solar PV / Wind projects during development, construction, and operational phases.
– Evaluate site conditions, shading analysis, terrain impacts, albedo, and soiling effects.
– Conduct loss analysis including DC/AC losses, wiring losses, inverter efficiency, availability, curtailment, and degradation.
– Support the engineering team in plant layout optimization to maximize generation.
– Prepare EYA reports with P50/P90 estimates and uncertainty analysis for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors.
– Collaborate with the electrical design and project execution teams to ensure alignment between design assumptions and performance expectations.
– Benchmark actual plant performance against pre-construction EYA and provide variance analysis.
– Stay updated with evolving grid codes, international standards, and best practices in solar energy yield modelling.
– Resolve lender/ financial institution technical queries.
– Involve complete know-how of DC and AC side system losses, Inverter and its significance for design part including losses optimisation.
– Apply optimisation Techniques for efficient EYA systems.
– Prepare the complete project DPR for lender / financial institution.
– Provide EYA for project winning stage and coordination with BD team for technical data.
REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
– 6 to 8 years of experience in solar PV energy yield assessment or performance modeling.
– Understanding of solar resource assessment, meteorology, and uncertainty analysis.
– Knowledge of solar PV system design, plant layout, and electrical components.
– Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
– Excellent report writing and communication skills.
– Experience working with IPP, EPC, or renewable energy consulting firms.
– Experience in grid-connected utility-scale projects.
