ROLE
– Drive cost reduction initiatives, long-term rate contracts, and value engineering
– Manage annual procurement budgets and savings targets
– Ensure optimal inventory planning to avoid plant downtime
– Build and manage a strong vendor ecosystem for spares, O&M services, and AMC / SLA-based contracts
– Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews
– Ensure vendors meet quality, safety, and turnaround time standards
– Ensure adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and compliance standards
– Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, single-vendor dependencies, and critical spares risks
– Support internal and external audits related to procurement and contracts
– Lead and mentor a pan-India procurement team supporting solar & wind assets
– Define roles, KRAs, and performance metrics for the team
– Drive process standardization and digitalization of procurement workflows
– Act as a key interface with Asset Management Head, O&M teams, Finance & Commercial, and Senior leadership
– Provide regular MIS, dashboards, and insights on procurement performance

– Deep understanding of electrical & mechanical spares
– Deep understanding of AMC / SLA contracts
– Deep understanding of inventory & warehouse management
– Deep understanding of contract drafting, negotiation, and claim management
– Strategic thinker with strong execution focus
– Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
– Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams
– High ownership and decision-making capability
