ROLE
– Act as a technical anchor for the R&D team, providing hands-on guidance across software, mechatronics, electrical, and hardware domains.
– Review ongoing engineering activities, designs, and experiments to ensure speed, quality, and technical robustness.
– Drive structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and rapid iteration during development and testing.
– Own system-level thinking for integration of hardware, software, and subsystems in underwater robotic platforms.
– Support end-to-end product development—from concept, prototyping, and validation to field deployment.
– Prepare and review technical proposals, BOMs, cost estimates, and project budgets across the product lifecycle.
– Work closely with Technical Sales to evaluate customer requirements and convert them into actionable R&D tasks.
– Plan, participate in, and review field trials, testing plans, and performance evaluations.
– Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure smooth handover and scalability.
– Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team.

REQUIREMENTS
– Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience in R&D, product development, or systems engineering.
– Proven experience working on multidisciplinary engineering systems with real-world deployment exposure.
– Startup, robotics, embedded systems, automation, marine, or industrial product experience is a strong plus.
