ROLE
– Battery degradation analysis
– Test various cell chemistries – NMC, LFP, LMO, LTO, NCA
– Work with state-of-the-art cell manufacturers to qualify their cells
– Work with partners on the PLI ACC scheme
– Future chemistries and Li-Ion battery with super capacitor testing and qualification
– ARAI certification support
– Analyze various failure scenarios of Li-Ion battery packs and provide a RCA
– Shall analyze various cell chemistries in understanding the degradation factors and provide right solution for requirements
– Cell characterization of various Lithium based cells and provide recommendations on appropriate usage of cell chemistries for various requirements
– Do a detailed analysis of cells to figure out effective algorithms for determining the life of Li-Ion cell / Li-Ion battery pack
– Provide expertise to provide recommendations on various tools / systems that can aid in upgradation of setup for effective manufacturing of Li-Ion batteries
– Provide input for the design and construction of test cases and scenarios and may also validate executed test results
– Provide input into and execute user documentation and training material
REQUIREMENTS
– Strong understanding of Lithium-Ion battery technology, including materials, cell designs, manufacturing processes, and performance characteristics
– In-depth knowledge of electrochemical principles and their application to battery design, operation, and optimization
– Understanding of materials used in battery components, their properties, and their impact on battery performance and safety
– Understanding the chemical reactions and processes involved in battery operation and degradation mechanisms
– Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Cell Development & Analysis
– Relevant industry experience in battery research, development, or manufacturing is highly valuable
– Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemical, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related disciplines
– Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions in the context of battery technology and engineering challenges
– Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical information to non-experts
– Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with researchers, engineers, and other stakeholders
