ROLE
– Handle the end-to-end LC processing, including advising, opening, amendment, etc.
– Review LC applications from clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with bank and regulatory policies.
– Assist clients in drafting and structuring LCs, advising them on best practices, terms, conditions, and associated risks.
– Coordinate with overseas banks, correspondents, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and transaction flow.
– Monitor shipping timelines, document submission deadlines, and payment schedules to avoid defaults or discrepancies.
– Process LC amendments, cancellations, and claims while keeping all parties informed.
– Manage the acceptance of bills, ensuring they are compliant with LC terms and conditions.
– Verify documents such as invoices, transport documents, certificates of origin, inspection reports, and insurance papers for authenticity and compliance.
– Facilitate payment and settlement processes with swift resolution of discrepancies.
– Track acceptance timelines and ensure timely dispatch to clients and correspondents.
– Maintain accurate records and reports of all accepted bills, amendments, and payments.
