ROLE
– Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers/recyclers through Due-diligence process for all plastic grades material
– Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply terms with downstream & upstream partners
– Ensure consistent supply with a focus on cost optimization and quality standards
– Build and maintain strong relationships with scrap dealers, aggregators, recyclers
– Monitor local market trends, pricing fluctuations, and availability of plastic materials
– Ensure compliance related to plastic sourcing
– Develop vendor networks and ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing aligned with operational requirements
– Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sourcing and operations staff
– Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback
– Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
– Hire and train field staff on MRF process, EHS and 5S
– Follow MRF framework & implement the process and update the tracker sheet & weekly progress update to the MRF Lead/Manager
– Monitor and evaluate the performance of MRF supervisors and analysis of production sorting teams & Baling teams
– Develop team in multiple aspects and regular interactive sessions to ensure a motivated workforce
– Define target as per AOP projections and get it implemented month by month
– Plan monthly production schedules
– Conduct MRF inductions for visitors
– Ensure invoicing and payment collections from recyclers and aggregators, including VMS uploads
– Ensure right MOQ at right time and prepare and adhere to the dispatch plan
– Develop and adhere to MRF Manual and other SOPs
– Test and implement new technologies at MRF like vision sensing, IOT, etc
– Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the waste management process
– Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures
– Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve productivity
– Timely maintenance of machinery & procurement based on the requirement
– Cross-check and verify all operational documentation for accuracy and completeness
– Maintain and audit records as per regulatory requirements
– Monitor MIS daily
– Submit the PnL on the 30th of each month
– Develop and implement sales strategies to meet organizational targets
– Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve goals
– Coordinate with the team to get end-destination details
– Collaborate with the Plastics team to keep updated on the plastic rate
– Coordinate with an accountant for raising SO and invoices
– Plan to achieve the AOP targets
– Focus on cost optimization for better profitability
– Raise invoice & E-way bill in case of unavailability of an accountant
– Ensure timely payments for vendors & service providers
– Audit of transport cost & their documents and rate negotiations with Transporters
– Arrange Logistics – Coordinate for dispatching materials and ensuring stocks are never superfluous at the facility
– Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
– Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
– Response preparation during emergencies and ensure the team is equipped to handle them
– Execution of special projects as applicable
– Testing and implementation of new technologies at MRF like IOT, sensor-based sorting, MHE etc
– Mapping of scrap dealers & aggregators and onboarding to source the waste
– Mapping of end destinations across the state and onboard the recyclers with the due diligence completion
– Preparation of sourcing plan for MRF by coordinating with sourcing team and partners
– Ensure coordination for quality check by ED, capture feedback and bring any internal process change for improving the quality
– Coordinate with external audit teams to understand the requirements
– Coordinate with QEHS & third parties for all the required audits
– Supervise all the audits and visits conducted at MRF
– Maintain ISO standards at the facility
REQUIREMENTS
– Proven experience in plastic sourcing, recycling & polymer procurement
– Strong understanding of plastic grades, quality parameters, and pricing dynamics
– Good negotiation and vendor management skills
– Knowledge of recycling ecosystem and scrap market
– Proficiency in MS office
– Strong communication and coordination abilities
