ROLE
– Own mechanical design of 52S battery modules using ~314 Ah prismatic cells
– Define cell retention, compression, insulation, and structural load paths
– Design for manufacturability, serviceability, and long-term durability
– Ensure mechanical compatibility with BMS, busbars, and cooling interfaces
– Define module-level thermal strategy as a first design decision
– Ensure thermal uniformity, hot-spot control, and fault tolerance
– Support thermal simulation and physical validation
– Own the internal structural framework of the BESS container
– Design module mounting frames, rails, and restraints
– Define load paths for static weight, transport shock, vibration, and seismic loads
– Own 3D routing of HV and LV harnesses inside modules and container
– Ensure segregation from coolant lines, sharp edges, and hot surfaces
– Validate vibration, strain relief, bend radius, and service loops
– Own IP protection concept for the battery section of the BESS container
– Design sealing, gaskets, vents, drainage, and pressure equalization
– Support IP test planning, execution, and failure closure
REQUIREMENTS
– Knowledge of CAD tools such as solid works
– Knowledge of simulation tools such as ANSYS Icepack
– Good fundamental knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
