Reference Data Services Sr Analyst – Regulatory Segment Recommending Unit (RSRU), Assistant Vice President
ROLE
– Reviewing Obligor information available in the public domain and recommending the appropriate Basel Counterparty type based on the regulatory interpretive guidance
– Liaising and providing the required facts and evidence to the second line of defense function at Citi in order for them to review and challenge RSRU’s recommendation on the counterparty type
– Supporting with Audit requests pertaining to Regulatory Segment recommendation
– Involved in the many diverse activities that the team engages in, to support the overall RSRU’s Book of Work
– Exercises full leadership and supervisory responsibility over Operations Support department typically consisting of multiple teams
– Evaluates subordinates’ performance and makes recommendations for staffing, pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc
– Determines hiring to ensure adequate staffing
– Recommends new work procedures with broader scope of impact
– Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures
– Responsible for opening and maintaining customer sub-accounts or product pricing setups, and actively ensuring that customer/product data details and settlement instructions across a variety of systems remain up to date
– Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
– Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets
REQUIREMENTS
– 5-8 years of prior operations management experience
– Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
– Subject Matter Expertise
– Familiarity and academic knowledge of banking business model including, products, counterparties, risk profile, earning drivers, and macro-economic implications
– Experience with and knowledge of control environment associated with RWA calculations
– Demonstrated history of facilitating and driving initiatives to grow or change the bank in a program or project management capacity
– Strong understanding of bank risk and control frameworks
