ROLE
– Develop and implement quality control procedures, inspection methods, and sampling plans across components, sub-assemblies, and final goods.
– Provide technical support to inspection teams.
– Lead or participate in CAPA and nonconformance investigations.
– Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and failure recurrence.
– Plan, execute, and support internal, supplier, and customer audits.
– Manage PPAPs, NCRs, MRBs, RMAs, and supplier quality metrics.
– Partner with production, engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to resolve quality issues, support new product introductions, and participate in design/process FMEA and APQP.
– Coach and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians.
– Provide training in GD&T, SPC, and quality best practices, and help foster a quality culture.
– Track quality metrics and report performance to management.
– Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives using lean/Six Sigma tools.
– Support process validation, equipment qualification, and quality system enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
– Proficient with ISO 9001, TS 16949, ISO 13485, FDA QSR; experienced in audits and maintaining quality compliance.
– SPC, FMEA, CAPA, root-cause analysis, MSA, PPAP
– GD&T interpretation, calibration, test method validation, statistical analysis
– Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving, communication, training and mentoring, teamwork across functional boundaries
