ROLE
– Ensure full compliance with all applicable labor laws and factory legislations such as Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Contract Labour Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages Act, etc.
– Handle inspections, audits, notices, and submissions with government offices.
– Maintain all statutory registers, records, licenses, and renewals.
– Manage complete HR operations for plant manpower including workforce planning and manpower budgeting, Recruitment of shopfloor and staff employees, Shift management, Contract labour management and vendor coordination.
– Ensure smooth plant HR functioning in line with production requirements.
– Maintain healthy employee relations and harmonious industrial climate.
– Manage disciplinary procedures, domestic enquiries, and grievance redressal.
– Prevent and resolve disputes through proactive engagement.
– Ensure accurate processing of payroll in coordination with finance.
– Verify statutory deductions and compliance.
– Oversee contractor wage compliance and statutory payments.
– Implement HR policies, SOPs, and systems at plant level.
– Support performance management, promotions, confirmations, and transfers.
– Maintain HR MIS and compliance reports.
– Identify training needs for shopfloor and staff employees.
– Conduct statutory and mandatory trainings such as Safety training, POSH awareness, Code of Conduct, Skill development programs.
– Drive employee welfare initiatives and engagement activities.
– Ensure proper functioning of canteen, transport, safety, and medical facilities.
– Support CSR and community-related activities, where applicable.
– Drive Organization’s PMS cycle
– Work closely with Safety and EHS teams to ensure statutory safety compliance.
– Promote a strong culture of discipline, safety, and ethical conduct.
REQUIREMENTS
– Strong knowledge of Manufacturing HR and Industrial Relations
– Hands-on experience dealing with Factory Directorate, Labour Department, Local Authorities and statutory bodies
– Good understanding of Indian labor laws
– Strong negotiation and communication skills
– Ability to manage inspections and legal compliance independently
– Leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving ability
– MBA in HR / Personnel Management
– 10–15 years of relevant HR experience in a manufacturing environment
– Proven experience in statutory compliance and government liaison
– Exposure to handling shop-floor workforce and contract labor
