ROLE
– Manage the end-to-end LC lifecycle including advising, issuance, amendments, and closures.
– Review LC applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
– Support in structuring and drafting LC terms to minimize financial exposure.
– Coordinate with overseas banks, clients, and internal teams for smooth transaction execution.
– Track shipping documents, submission timelines, and payment schedules.
– Process LC amendments, cancellations, and claims as required.
– Handle acceptance of trade bills in accordance with LC terms and international guidelines.
– Verify trade documentation such as invoices, transport documents, and certificates for compliance and authenticity.
– Ensure timely processing of payments and resolution of discrepancies.
– Maintain acceptance records and update stakeholders on transaction timelines and status.
– Prepare and maintain reports on processed bills, amendments, and payments.
REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Trade, or a related field.
– Professional certifications such as CDCS or CSDG will be an added advantage.
– 4–7 years of hands-on experience in trade finance, particularly in LC operations and acceptance processing.
– Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, UCP 600, ISBP, INCOTERMS, and SWIFT messaging.
– High attention to detail with strong documentation accuracy and risk awareness.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
