ROLE
– Perform viewshed and line-of-sight analyses using GIS and terrain modeling to evaluate visibility from sensitive receptors
– Develop photomontages, 3D models, and visual simulations to support environmental impact statements and stakeholder engagement
– Collaborate with project developers, environmental consultants, and permitting agencies to ensure visual impact considerations are integrated into project design and siting
– Prepare maps and presentation materials that clearly communicate visual impact findings to regulators, clients, and the public
– Manage and maintain spatial datasets related to topography, land cover, infrastructure, and visual receptors
– Support public consultation efforts by producing accessible and informative visual materials for community meetings and hearings

REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Landscape Architecture, GIS, or a related field
– 3+ years of experience in GIS analysis and visual impact assessment, preferably within the renewable energy or environmental sector
– Proficiency in ArcGIS and 3D visualisation software such as SketchUp, Lumion, ESRI CityEngine, or similar
– Strong understanding of viewshed analysis, terrain modelling, and visual simulation techniques
– Familiarity with environmental permitting processes and regulatory frameworks for renewable energy development
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and engaging manner
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, or drone-based imagery
– Familiarity with public engagement strategies and visual storytelling for non-technical audiences
– Understanding of landscape character assessment and cumulative impact analysis
