ROLE
– Collaborate with utility stakeholders, business users, regulators, and technology teams to gather and document business requirements
– Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and business process analysis sessions
– Analyze current utility processes and recommend improvements through smart metering capabilities
– Understand end-to-end smart metering ecosystem
– Define business rules for meter onboarding, remote connect/disconnect, demand response, load profiling, energy accounting, tamper and event management, prepaid/postpaid metering
– Analyze meter consumption data and operational performance metrics
– Develop reports and dashboards for billing performance, revenue assurance, AT&C loss reduction, meter health monitoring, service-level compliance
– Validate data flows across utility applications
– Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum teams
– Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
– Support Sprint Planning, UAT, defect triage, and release management
– Participate in solution design reviews and functional testing
– Coordinate with utilities, system integrators, vendors, and regulatory authorities
– Ensure compliance with utility and regulatory requirements
– Support change management and user adoption initiatives

REQUIREMENTS
– Knowledge of Smart Grid concepts, load forecasting, demand response, outage management
– Proficiency in tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Power BI, Excel, SQL Server / Oracle

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Business Analyst
with strong domain expertise in
Smart Metering, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Meter Data Management (MDM), and Utility Operations
. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, utility operations teams, product owners, and technology teams to deliver smart metering solutions that support electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs), utility providers, and regulatory requirements.
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, utility business process knowledge, and experience translating business requirements into functional specifications for smart metering programs.
