ROLE
– Operate the entire distillery complex with commitment, determination, energy and accountability to achieve the results
– Facilitate team working, support and encourage others
– Suggest new ideas to improve performance
– Create and maintain detailed records of production and operations
– Handle industrial relations, labour and HR
– Collaborate and communicate with company’s support groups
– Demonstrate inclusive leadership and excellent communication skills
– Build and sustain excellent business relationships and high functioning teams
– Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness in the production facilities
– Participate in the hiring of production support staff
– Provide leadership and people management
– Solve problems and make decisions under pressure
– Communicate, negotiate and manage stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS
– BE degree in Chemical or Alcohol Technology
– 12-15 years of experience in the distillery industry
– Advanced knowledge of distillery operations
– Demonstrated tolerance for the rigours of the shop floor challenges
– Entrepreneurial spirit, high energy, and willingness to be challenged
– Excellent leadership skills and ability to maintain positive, high-performance work atmosphere
– Experience as a multi-disciplined team facilitator for cross functional teams
– Exposure to safety critical operations
– ERP systems knowledge is an added advantage
– Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen
– Strong understanding of supply chain processes, continuous improvement methodologies, quality, safety, and environmental practices
– Ability to diagnose and resolve operational/manufacturing issues to increase operational efficiencies and cost control
