ROLE
– Prepare detailed project cost sheets and cost estimates for Solar, Wind, and EPC projects.
– Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and identify cost overruns.
– Analyze project profitability at various stages of execution.
– Review project-wise revenue, cost allocation, and margin performance.
– Support management in evaluating project feasibility and financial viability.
– Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
– Track budget utilization across projects and departments.
– Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs and provide actionable insights.
– Recommend cost optimization opportunities and efficiency improvements.
– Prepare monthly project costing reports, profitability reports, and management dashboards.
– Develop and maintain cost tracking mechanisms for ongoing projects.
– Generate periodic financial analysis reports for leadership review.
– Support preparation of Board, Investor, and Management presentations relating to project performance.
– Analyze procurement costs and monitor major project cost drivers.
– Support commercial evaluation of vendor quotations and contracts from a financial perspective.
– Work closely with Procurement and Project teams to ensure cost discipline and adherence to approved budgets.
– Ensure proper cost allocation and accounting treatment of project expenses.
– Coordinate with Accounts teams for accurate booking of project costs.
– Support statutory audit, internal audit, and financial due diligence activities related to project costing.
– Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
– Drive automation and standardization of costing and reporting processes.
– Develop financial models and analytical tools to improve decision-making.
– Participate in ERP implementation and process enhancement initiatives related to project finance and costing.
REQUIREMENTS
– Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
– Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
– Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
– Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
– Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
– Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
– Good communication and presentation skills.
– Experience in EPC, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Construction, Manufacturing, or Project-based industries.
– Exposure to project accounting, cost control, and management reporting.
– Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously and supporting business decision-making through financial analysis.
