Job Description Job Objective/Purpose: Responsible for DC engineering, including PV module layout, string design, DC cabling, and optimization to ensure maximum energy yield, safety, and cost efficiency. Job Responsibilities: DC System Design & Optimization & Optimize designs for maximum energy yield and minimal losses. Perform shading analysis, tilt/orientation optimization, and land utilization planning Conduct DC design calculations like voltage window and string sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, and losses etc. Define DC design guidelines, best practices, and technical specifications Review and approve drawings such as layouts, SLDs, and cable routing plans Evaluate PV modules, DC cables, connectors, and combiner boxes Qualification and Certification Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Knowledge, Skills and Technology Platform: Strong expertise in solar PV DC system design Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst Knowledge of earthing, lightning protection, and safety systems In-depth understanding of DC system losses and optimization techniques
