ROLE
– Act as the EHS Coordinator to ensure full compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
– Proactively identify workplace hazards, implement corrective and preventive actions, and complete all required EHS documentation and audit submissions accurately and on time.
– Oversee safe chemical storage, labeling, segregation, and disposal in line with regulatory and internal standards.
– Coordinate with approved waste disposal vendors and manage lab inventory records and end‑to‑end procurement of chemicals, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
– Manage timely renewals of AMCs/CMCs for critical infrastructure and equipment.
– Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all facility assets and scientific instruments, and track asset movement, usage, and location in alignment with internal asset management protocols.
– Perform additional facilities management responsibilities, including inventory management and overall facility asset management.

REQUIREMENTS
– Minimum 3–5 years of experience in EHS coordination or related roles.
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, facility management, or a related field.
– Knowledge of EHS management systems and standards and ability to prepare and maintain detailed safety and compliance documentation.
– Experience with chemical lab and inventory management, including safe storage, labeling, segregation, disposal, and procurement processes.
– Experience managing facility assets, AMC/CMC renewals, and maintaining accurate asset records.
– Plus: Prior experience specifically in both EHS coordination and facility management.

We are currently seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Facilities Specialist  who will be responsible for EHS compliance and regulatory oversight risk management and emergency preparedness including oversight of chemical and material purchases. The position will also handle other facilities management responsibilities including inventory management AMC renewals Phenomenex facility asset management and any other such work.

This is an on-site role based at the BDC facility in Bengaluru.  This Job requires the associate to be in Bengaluru.

Location/Region: Bangalore– India / Region-2

Reports to: Senior Manager – Technical Support and Global Applications

What we’ll get you doing:

 EHS Compliance & Risk Management: Act as the EHS Coordinator to ensure full compliance with applicable environmental health and safety regulations proactively identify workplace hazards implement corrective and preventive actions and complete all required EHS documentation and audit submissions accurately and on time.

Chemical Lab & Inventory Management: Oversee safe chemical storage labeling segregation and disposal in line with regulatory and internal standards coordinate with approved waste disposal vendors and manage lab inventory records and end‑to‑end procurement of chemicals consumables and laboratory supplies.

Facilities & Asset Management: Manage timely renewals of AMCs/CMCs for critical infrastructure and equipment maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all facility assets and scientific instruments and track asset movement usage and location in alignment with internal asset management protocols. 

The essential requirements of the role include: 

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EHS coordination or related roles

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science Occupational Health and Safety Engineering Facility Management or a related field

Knowledge of EHS management systems and standards & ability to prepare and maintain detailed safety and compliance documentation.

  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

candidates with previous experience in EHS coordination and facility management.
