Job Purpose

The Fire Coordinator is responsible for ensuring comprehensive fire safety management across the DLF Cyber City portfolio maintaining compliance with all applicable fire safety regulations coordinating fire prevention programs and ensuring readiness of fire safety systems and emergency response protocols.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
1. Fire Safety Compliance & Regulatory Management
Ensure compliance with National Building Code (NBC) local fire department regulations and statutory requirements across all buildings in the portfolio
Maintain all fire safety licenses NOCs (No Objection Certificates) and statutory approvals
Coordinate fire audits and inspections by statutory authorities
Maintain updated fire safety documentation and compliance registers
Liaise with local fire department officials and regulatory bodies
Ensure adherence to NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards where applicable
2. Fire Safety Systems Management & Maintenance
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all fire safety systems including fire alarms sprinklers hydrants fire extinguishers smoke detectors and fire pumps
Coordinate with vendors for annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) and system testing
Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire safety equipment as per schedules
Maintain asset registers of all fire safety equipment with testing and expiry dates
Ensure proper functioning of fire control panels public address systems and emergency lighting
Coordinate system upgrades and modifications as required
3. Emergency Response & Fire Drills
Develop and implement fire emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
Organize and conduct fire drills (minimum quarterly or as per statutory requirements)
Train and coordinate the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and fire wardens
Maintain emergency contact directories and escalation matrices
Conduct post-drill debriefings and implement improvement measures
Ensure availability and readiness of emergency assembly points
Coordinate with building management teams during actual fire incidents
4. Training & Awareness Programs
Conduct fire safety induction training for new employees and contractors
Organize periodic fire safety awareness sessions for occupants and staff
Develop and distribute fire safety communication materials (posters SOPs evacuation maps)
Train facility staff on basic fire-fighting techniques and equipment usage
Maintain training records and attendance registers
Coordinate specialized training programs (fire warden training first aid etc.)
5. Risk Assessment & Fire Prevention
Conduct regular fire risk assessments across the portfolio
Identify fire hazards and recommend mitigation measures
Monitor hot work permits and ensure compliance with fire safety protocols
Inspect storage areas electrical rooms and high-risk zones regularly
Review architectural and MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) plans for fire safety compliance during renovations
Implement preventive measures based on incident learnings
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive fire safety records logs and reports
Prepare monthly fire safety compliance reports for management
Document all fire incidents near-misses and corrective actions taken
Update and maintain fire safety SOPs and emergency procedures
Prepare presentations for management review meetings
Track and report KPIs related to fire safety performance
