Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks. The role offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in product design and development. Key Responsibilities ● Create and modify 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks. ● Prepare detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings. ● Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in engineering drawings. ● Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawing documentation. ● Maintain drawing revisions and engineering records. ● Support the design team in product development and documentation activities. ● Ensure drawings comply with company standards and engineering best practices. ● Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams for drawing updates and clarifications. ● Assist in creating technical documentation and design reports when required. Required Skills Mandatory: ● Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. ● Basic to intermediate proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assemblies, and Drawings). ● Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards. ● Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, welding, and fabrication. ● Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Preferred: ● Knowledge of AutoCAD. ● Familiarity with BOM preparation and revision control. ● Basic understanding of mechanical design principles. ● Good communication and teamwork skills. Desired Candidate Profile ● Fresher or up to 1 year of relevant experience. ● Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy. ● Willingness to learn and adapt to new engineering challenges. ● Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
