ROLE
– Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for EV components, including batteries, motors, controllers, charging systems, wiring harnesses, and structural parts.
– Source raw materials and components based on project requirements, technical specifications, and budget constraints.
– Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
– Perform regular audits and assessments of supplier capabilities, quality, and delivery performance.
– Work closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams to understand technical needs and translate them into procurement plans.
– Evaluate supplier technical documents and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
– Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
– Ensure timely delivery of materials with the required quality through proper follow-ups and coordination.
– Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
– Ensure all procurement practices are in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical / automobile engineering or related field.
– 2–5 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in the EV or automotive sector.
– Strong understanding of EV components, materials, and technologies.
– Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
– Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
– Familiarity with global supply chains, logistics, and import/export regulations.
– Knowledge of sustainability and green sourcing practices.
