The Informatica Developer is a hands-on technical role within the Office of the Chief AI & Data Officer (CDAO) responsible for designing developing and maintaining enterprise data integration data quality and metadata solutions using the Informatica platform.
This role plays a critical part in enabling trusted data and AI systems by building scalable reliable and automated data pipelines data quality rules and metadata integrations across cloud and on-premise environments.
The role works closely with:
Operational Data Quality Lead
Data Quality Analysts
Data & AI Stewardship Lead
Data Engineering and Platform teams
This is a delivery-focused engineering role requiring deep technical expertise in Informatica IDMC / PowerCenter / IDQ / EDC combined with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Quality Implementation
Develop and maintain data quality rules and checks using:
Informatica Data Quality (IDQ / IDMC DQ)
Implement:
Validation rules
Standardization and cleansing logic
Matching and deduplication
Support the Operational DQ Lead in:
Automating DQ monitoring
Enabling DQ dashboards
Integrating DQ outputs with reporting tools
2. Metadata & Catalog Integration
Configure Data and AI Catalog
Integrate data assets into:
Informatica Data Catalog (EDC / IDMC Catalog)
Enable:
Automated metadata harvesting
End-to-end lineage generation
Technical metadata synchronization
Support Data & AI Stewards with:
Catalog onboarding
Metadata completeness
Lineage accuracy
4. Platform Engineering & Automation
Build reusable components and frameworks on the Informatica platform.
Automate:
Job orchestration
Monitoring and alerting
Deployment pipelines
Ensure platform reliability through:
Error handling
Logging
Performance tuning
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills (Strong Requirement)
5–7 years of hands-on experience with Informatica:
IDMC
PowerCenter
Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
Informatica Data Catalog (EDC)
Strong SQL skills (Oracle SQL Server Snowflake etc.)
Experience with:
REST APIs
Cloud data platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
CI/CD pipelines for data (nice to have)
Data Engineering & Architecture
Strong understanding of:
ETL/ELT patterns
Data lakes and data warehouses
Data modeling (dimensional normalized)
Batch vs streaming architectures
Problem Solving & Operating Style
Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills
