ROLE
– Hands-on delivery of features and improvements to Esyasoft’s iOS app
– Quality, performance and reliability of iOS code
– Code review and mentoring of less senior iOS engineers
– Contribution to architectural decisions on the iOS codebase
– Maintain and develop high-quality iOS code aligned to agreed technical requirements
– Provide hands-on technical knowledge in iOS architecture, design and ongoing improvement
– Champion SOLID principles, clean architecture and testable code
– Contribute to architectural decisions across the iOS codebase
– Participate in code review with rigor
– Support release management — staged roll outs, monitoring, post-release follow-through
– Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders including product and design
– Work with backend and data teams to ensure any blockers or issues with APIs or data are resolved
– Adhere to Esyasoft’s data protection and security policies
– Embed secure-by-default patterns in iOS code
– Keep up with the evolving iOS ecosystem
– Bring practical innovation into the team

REQUIREMENTS
– Demonstrable senior-level commercial experience as a native iOS developer
– Extensive experience of RESTful API and third-party integration
– Experience of TDD, BDD or other code testing practices
– Understanding of data structures and algorithms
– Commercial experience with Apple MapKit or other mapping platforms
– Experience with Combine, Swift Concurrency and SwiftUI
– Curious — actively keeps up with iOS evolution
– Pragmatic — values clarity and shipped quality over cleverness
– Collaborative — communicates confidently with the wider business
– Competent user of RESTful APIs, Firebase, Apple frameworks, mapping and payment integrations
