ROLE
– Evaluate loan applications for EV battery financing and leasing products
– Analyze customer profiles including income, cash flow, bureau reports, and business stability
– Conduct risk-based decisioning aligned with company policies
– Identify potential credit risks and flag high-risk profiles
– Develop and implement underwriting frameworks for new customer segments
– Maintain portfolio quality by ensuring prudent lending decisions
– Review KYC and financial documents
– Coordinate with field teams for validation and discrepancy resolution
– Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
– Work closely with sales, operations, and collections teams
– Support faster TAT while maintaining risk discipline
– Provide feedback loops to improve sourcing quality
– Maintain underwriting logs and decision records
– Track approval/rejection trends and recommend improvements
– Assist in portfolio monitoring and early risk identification

REQUIREMENTS
– Ability to interpret Hindi documents, customer communication, and field reports
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field
– 2–5 years of experience in credit underwriting / risk assessment / NBFC / fintech / lending
– Experience in EV financing, vehicle loans, MSME lending, or asset-based lending is preferred
– Strong analytical and decision-making skills
– Risk assessment and fraud detection mindset
– Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
– Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
– Experience in field-heavy or semi-urban/rural lending models
– Familiarity with North & East India market dynamics
– Prior experience handling Hindi-speaking customer base
