Which climate topics matter to you?

Choose two or three. Selecting everything is the same as selecting nothing.

4

How far across New York will you travel?

What counts as a "free" event at Climate Week NYC?

Every event on this page is publicly listed with open registration, no application or invitation required. Here is what that does and does not guarantee-

Open, not always no-cost

Almost all of these are free. A small number are ticketed, usually full-day summits, and those show their price instead of "Free to register".

Still spread across the city

Free does not mean nearby. We map every neighbourhood cluster so a free morning event does not sit forty minutes from a free afternoon one.

Registering is not attending

Free registration can still fill up. Popular receptions and panels close registration early, so finalise your list and register as soon as you are sure.

Including the remote ones

105 of these free events are virtual or hybrid, so you can build a full week without being in New York at all.

Frequently asked questions

How many free events are there at Climate Week NYC?

627 of the 923 events in the official Climate Week NYC 2026 programme are public, meaning anyone can register and no invitation is needed. This page lists only those, so nothing on it will turn you away at the door.

Is Climate Week NYC really free, or do these events have a hidden cost?

Registering is free for the large majority of public listings. A small number are paid, usually full-day summits or ticketed dinners, and those are marked with their price rather than "Free to register" wherever the organiser has published one.

What is the difference between this page and the full planner?

This page only ever shows the 627 events anyone can register for. The full planner covers all 923 events, including invite-only ones, with an access question so you can choose to include them. Use this page if you want a target list without any dead ends.

Can I attend these free events online?

Yes. 105 of the free events are virtual or hybrid, so you can build a full schedule without travelling to New York.

How do I actually register for a free Climate Week NYC event?

Each event is hosted and registered separately, usually through Luma or the host organisation's own site. Building a schedule here does not register you for anything: once you finalise your list, click Register on each event you want to attend.

How many free events can I fit into one day?

Three to five is realistic once travel time is accounted for. This tool checks the gap between consecutive events on your schedule and will not place two free events back to back if you could not physically get between them.
