ROLE
– Develop and execute a business development strategy for Karnataka aligned with overall business objectives
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and clusters
– Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations
– Lead end-to-end sales cycles including prospecting, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and closure
– Drive commercial discussions, structure deals, and ensure alignment with internal financial and technical parameters
– Continuously monitor regulatory developments, policy changes, competitor activity, and market trends
– Provide actionable insights to refine go-to-market strategies
– Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and legal teams to ensure delivery of optimized, client-centric solutions
– Ensure seamless transition from sales to execution
– Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, closures, and key performance metrics
– Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business progress and market outlook
– Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and client engagements to strengthen brand visibility and network
REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
– MBA preferred
– Minimum 3+ years in business development or sales
– At least 2+ years of experience in the solar/renewable energy sector
– Proven track record in client acquisition and deal closures
– Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
– Ability to work independently and drive outcomes in a dynamic environment
– Strong ownership and execution focus
