ROLE
– Build and lead Loom Solar’s complete product portfolio and product strategy.
– Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle: customer need → market research → strategy → roadmap → business case → development → launch → scale → lifecycle management.
– Identify customer needs, market opportunities, and technology trends; convert them into high‑quality, differentiated, commercially successful products.
– Develop 3‑year and 5‑year product strategies, identify high‑growth categories, analyze market size, define positioning, and set investment priorities.
– Build a customer‑centric organization by understanding residential, commercial, C&I, EPC, developer, distributor, government, and export customers; conduct interviews, feedback sessions, market research, and competitive benchmarking.
– Ensure product‑market fit for every major product by evaluating demand, performance, competitive advantage, pricing, margins, channel acceptance, installation complexity, service requirements, warranty risk, and scalability.
– Develop financial business cases for new products in partnership with the CFO, covering market size, sales targets, ASP, margins, development and tooling costs, certification, capex, working capital, warranty, and payback.
– Collaborate closely with the CTO/Head of Engineering to align “what to build” with “how to build,” ensuring successful product development.
– Establish product pricing and positioning with the CBO and CFO, setting target ASP, competitive pricing, channel margins, dealer economics, product segmentation, and value proposition.
– Manage product launch coordination across product, engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, sales, marketing, service, and finance; ensure all launch checklist items are ready before market release.
– Create clear product architecture and SKU strategy to avoid unnecessary proliferation; monitor revenue per SKU, margin per SKU, and inventory per SKU.
– Maintain continuous market and competitive intelligence, producing monthly product intelligence reports.
– Set and monitor product quality and reliability standards with COO and Quality, tracking field failure rates, warranty claims, returns, MTBF, and root‑cause improvements.
– Ensure product serviceability: easy installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, spare‑parts availability, remote diagnostics, technician training, and clear service documentation.
– Own digital product and customer experience for connected products, including mobile apps, energy monitoring

Job Description
The Chief Product Officer will be responsible for building and leading

The CPO will identify customer needs, market opportunities and technology trends and convert

The CPO will own the product lifecycle:
Customer Need → Market Research → Product Strategy → Roadmap → Business Case
→ Development → Launch → Scale → Product Lifecycle
The CPO will work closely with the
CEO, CBO, COO, CFO, CTO/Head of Engineering,
R&D, Quality, Marketing and Service
