ROLE
– Lead overall manufacturing operations of solar module plant
– Ensure achievement of daily, monthly, and annual production targets
– Monitor line utilization and production efficiency
– Drive capacity utilization improvements
– Ensure smooth coordination across production shifts
– Minimize downtime and bottlenecks
– Implement Lean Manufacturing practices
– Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
– Reduce rejection, rework, and wastage
– Improve plant productivity and throughput
– Ensure adherence to module manufacturing quality standards
– Monitor EL test, flash test, hi-pot test, and QC checkpoints
– Reduce customer complaints and field failures
– Ensure compliance with BIS, IEC, and ISO standards
– Coordinate with QA/QC teams for audits
– Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance implementation
– Reduce machine breakdowns and downtime
– Coordinate with engineering team for machine upgrades
– Improve equipment reliability
– Ensure spare parts availability
– Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams
– Ensure availability of solar cells, glass, EVA, backsheet, junction boxes, frames
– Control inventory carrying cost
– Reduce material losses
– Ensure plant safety standards are followed
– Implement EHS policies and SOPs
– Conduct safety audits and trainings
– Ensure statutory compliance
– Maintain clean and disciplined shop floor
– Lead production managers, engineers, supervisors, and operators
– Build high-performance manufacturing culture
– Conduct manpower planning
– Drive employee productivity and discipline
– Train teams on SOPs and quality standards
– Optimize manufacturing cost per watt
– Monitor power consumption and utility efficiency
– Reduce scrap and rejection cost
– Improve labor productivity
– Control operational expenses
– Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports
– Present production and efficiency dashboards
– Review KPI performance with leadership
– Drive corrective and preventive actions

REQUIREMENTS
– Experience in solar module manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, battery manufacturing, high-volume automated manufacturing plants
– Preferred experience in mono PERC, TOPCon, half-cut module manufacturing, automated stringer lines
– B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Production Engineering
– Preferred: MBA Operations, Lean Six Sigma Certification
– 5+ years in leadership role
– Experience handling large manufacturing teams
– Technical Skills: solar module manufacturing process, production planning, lean manufacturing, TPM, OEE management, automation systems, quality systems, cost optimization
– Leadership Skills: team leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, crisis management, process discipline, cross-functional coordination
