ROLE
– Lead the team in detailed engineering and review engineering projects of solar PV plants, including client and internal coordination.
– Deliver projects within the allocated time and budget.
– Design and engineer DC and AC side electrical systems of MW‑scale solar PV and rooftop projects, developing electrical schemes and PV plant layout details such as DC cable routine layouts and DC grouping.
– Perform detailed designs of solar plants, including MV systems up to 33 kV.
– Conduct lightning risk assessments, perform lighting calculations, and select conductors according to national/international codes.
– Prepare general technical specifications, design basis reports, and memoranda.
– Conduct and review short‑circuit current and load‑flow calculations to finalize equipment ratings and sizes.
– Design protection systems, including sizing calculations for fuses, connectors, SCBs, SPDs, and other equipment per IEC, IS, and IEEE standards.
– Calculate auxiliary AC and DC loads, design schematic diagrams for auxiliary loads, and perform illumination, ventilation, and fire‑alarm system calculations for buildings and open fields of solar PV arrays.
– Design and engineer inverter stations, MV transformer stations, MV switching stations, and utility metering systems.
– Apply deep knowledge of MV and HV equipment selection and review vendor drawings and documents.
– Provide consultancy/EPC support with exposure to utility‑scale solar

Job Description
The
position
requires
ability
to
efficiently
multi-task
and manage
multiple
projects/tasks
simultaneously,
with challenging timelines. The ability to effectively prioritize and execute
tasks
and
ensuring on
time delivery shall
be crucial.
The
principal
responsibilities
shall
essentially
include:
-
Lead
the team in detailed engineering and review engineering projects of solar PV
plants.
This
shall include
client
and
internal
co-ordination.

To
deliver
projects
within
the
allocated
time
and
budget.

Design
and engineering of DC and AC side electrical systems of MW scale solar PV
and rooftop. This shall include developing
electrical schemes and PV plant layout
detailing
such
as
DC
Cable
routine layouts,
DC
Grouping.
-
Shall
be
able
to
do
detailed
designs
of
solar
plants,
including
MV
system
(upto
33kV).
-
Conducting
lightning risk assessment, performing lighting calculations and conductor
selection
as
per
the
national/
international code.
-
Preparing
general
technical
specifications,
design
basis
reports,
and
memorandum.
-
Conduct
and review short circuit current, Load Flow calculation to finalize equipment
ratings and
sizes.

Cable
sizing - String Cable, Power Cable (DC and AC) sizing & calculation;
Control
Cable sizing, length
Calculations and cable accessories selections, Design of cable
trenches
and
underground raceways
analysis.

Design
the protection system including sizing Calculations for the protection Fuse,
Connectors, SCB, SPD all DC and all other
equipment of solar PV plant as per IEC,
IS,
IEEE standards.

Auxiliary
Load calculation AC & DC and designing schematic diagram of auxiliary
loads. Performing illumination sizing
calculations, Ventilation calculations, Fire alarm
system
for
the
Buildings
and open
fields
of
Solar
PV
array.
-
Design
and
engineering
of
all
the
aspects
of
inverter
stations,
MV
transformer
stations,
MV
Switching
stations,
Utility
metering systems
etc.
-
Shall
have depth knowledge of MV and HV equipment selection and review of vendor
drawing
and documents.
-
Knowledge
in DC & AC side engineering specifications and standards including IEC,
NEC,
IEEE,
ANSI,
SEC,
IS etc.
-
Able
to
understand
and
Validate
Power
Conversion
Unit
(PCS)
or
Solar
PV
inverter
component
Power
/
Control
schematics,
BOQ
and
Site
accessories.
-
Consultancy
/
EPC
background
with
exposure
to
utility
scale
solar
PV
projects
shall
be
desirable.
-
MS
office,
Dialux
tools
is essential.

Requirements
