Procurement Engineering Intern
ROLE
– Identify and evaluate potential vendors for solar components such as modules, inverters, cables, mounting structures, electrical panels, and other engineering materials.
– Maintain and update vendor databases and supplier contact records.
– Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors.
– Assist in conducting technical comparisons and techno-commercial evaluations of vendor quotations.
– Review technical specifications to ensure compliance with project design requirements.
– Collect and verify technical datasheets, certifications, warranties, and compliance documents.
– Support commercial bid comparison, pricing analysis, and cost optimization.
– Work closely with the Design team to understand project-specific material requirements.
– Coordinate with internal departments to resolve technical discrepancies between vendor offerings and project specifications.
– Support smooth communication between Procurement, Design, and Project Execution teams.
– Maintain procurement records, approvals, revisions, and documentation.
– Help track procurement status and material deliveries.
– Monitor price trends of key engineering and solar materials.
– Research emerging solar technologies, products, and suppliers.
– Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and ensure adherence to company procurement policies.
REQUIREMENTS
– BE / BTech – Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics.
– 0–1 year of experience.
– Freshers can also apply.
– Basic knowledge of solar PV systems is a plus.
– Strong understanding of engineering materials and technical specifications.
