ROLE
– Deliver solar consulting services for commercial and utility‑scale PV systems to project developers, lenders, and investors.
– Conduct long‑term solar resource and energy assessments using industry‑standard software such as PV Syst and perform uncertainty analysis.
– Perform due‑diligence technical reviews of commercial solar project portfolios and identify potential methodological flaws.
– Review test procedures and data‑collection methods to evaluate solar project performance and site measurements.
– Independently review solar PV designs, testing/commissioning procedures, and QA/QC documentation.
– Manage projects and interface with clients to discuss results and risk mitigation.
– Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals in response to customer interests, needs, and RFQs.
– Work on projects related to solar, wind, and energy storage.
– Develop and maintain professional relationships with major stakeholders.
– Deliver technical presentations to customers at trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
– Coordinate and collaborate with APAC and global teams to fulfill DNV’s goals, vision, and strategy.
– Identify and implement improvements in service delivery through internal projects with the energy systems team.
– Participate in DNV’s global innovation projects and initiatives, ensuring new solutions are developed and implemented in India.
– Collaborate with experienced global engineers in Europe and North America and pursue experience‑exchange opportunities, including secondments to overseas offices.
– Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
– Foster a trust‑oriented environment that helps team members attain their potential.
– Participate in R&D projects and contribute to publishing journal papers.
– Write technical reports.
– Perform any other duties as directed by line management.
REQUIREMENTS
– Proven experience in solar resource and energy assessment, including use of PV Syst.
– Strong technical background in commercial and utility‑scale solar PV design, testing, commissioning, and QA/QC processes.
– Ability to conduct due‑diligence reviews of solar project portfolios and identify methodological risks.
– Experience inspecting PV manufacturing facilities and producing bankable technology assessments.
– Project management skills with the ability to interface with clients and manage risk mitigation.
– Competence in preparing technical and commercial proposals and responding to RFQs.
– Knowledge of wind and energy storage concepts to support related projects.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering technical talks at conferences and trade shows.
– Demonstrated capability to identify service‑delivery improvements and lead internal improvement projects.
– Participation in innovation initiatives and willingness to develop and implement new solutions.
– Flexibility to work with global engineering pools and engage in international secondments.

Position Description:
In this role, you will be directly reporting to Head of Section- Solar.
Broad Expectations:
Responsible for the delivery of solar consulting services targeted towards project developers; lenders and investors and primarily related to commercial and utility-scale PV systems.
Fully aligned with the characteristics of the scientific methods i.e. Empirical, Replicable,
Systematic, Objective and Provisional Traits for being updated, organised, adaptable, taking risk, integrity and collaborating in groups.
As an independent contributor, you are expected to play a key role in revision and introduction of methodologies, standards, new services in tune with fast changing business and technological environment.
Responsibilities:
Long term solar resource assessment, energy assessment with industry standard software like PV Syst and uncertainty analysis.
Due diligence technical reviews of portfolios of commercial solar projects and provide opinions regarding potential flaws in process or methodology.
Review of test procedures and methods to collect data to evaluate the performance of solar projects and site measurements.
Independent review of solar PV designs, testing/commissioning procedures and QA/QC documentation.
Undertaking inspection of PV manufacturing facilities (Modules, inverters, trackers) in order to provide a Bankable report on the technology of new players in the market.
Project management and interfacing with clients to discuss results and risk mitigation.
Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals in response to customer’s interest, need and RFQs.
To work on projects related to solar, wind and energy storage.
To develop and maintain professional relationship will all major stakeholders.
Conduct technical presentations to customers, in trade shows, conferences and seminars on the company and our services.
To coordinate and collaborate with APAC and global team for the fulfilment of DNV’s goal, vision and strategy.
Find avenues and scope of improvements in delivery of existing services, and implement them through internal projects in close collaboration with larger energy systems team.
Engage in DNV’s various global innovation projects and initiatives, and ensure that new solutions are developed and implemented in India.
Work in close collaboration with experienced global pool of Engineers in Europe and North America and explore opportunities on experience exchange with the global team through secondments to overseas offices.
Effectively manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
