ROLE
– Develop 1–3 year product strategy and roadmap for grid‑tie inverter business.
– Define product portfolio across residential, commercial and industrial power ranges.
– Benchmark competitors on price, efficiency, warranty, features, reliability, MPPT configuration, communication, serviceability, etc.
– Engage with solar dealers, EPCs, system integrators, distributors, rooftop and C&I customers, project developers and service teams to understand pain points and translate them into product requirements.
– Own end‑to‑end product development: market need → PRD → technical specification → OEM/R&D → prototype → testing → certification → pilot → launch → scale.
– Prepare detailed Product Requirement Documents covering rated power, voltage, MPPT specs, efficiency, communication protocols, protection features, warranty, etc.
– Identify, evaluate and qualify inverter OEM/ODM partners; prepare technical and commercial comparisons; negotiate cost, MOQ, warranty, payment terms, lead time, spare parts, software/firmware support, exclusivity; establish supplier performance scorecards.
– Lead product launch planning including positioning, pricing, naming, packaging, datasheets, manuals, technical documentation, sales presentations, videos, dealer/installer/service training and demo units; collaborate with Marketing on messaging.
– Create and maintain monthly product performance dashboard tracking sales volume, revenue, market share, growth, gross margin, availability, failure rate, warranty claims, RMA rate, customer complaints, new launches, dealer activation, repeat purchase, forecast accuracy and inventory days.
– Drive after‑sales reliability initiatives: analyze failure data, identify recurring modes, conduct root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions, track warranty claims, monitor MTBF, improve firmware/hardware and installation practices, develop troubleshooting guides and remote diagnostics.
– Provide sales and channel enablement tools such as dealer training, installer certification, product comparison sheets, competitor battle cards, FAQs, selection guides, sizing guides, installation checklists and troubleshooting guides; train sales and field teams.
– Collaborate with technology/product teams to enhance mobile/web monitoring, remote diagnostics, generation analytics, fault alerts, OTA firmware updates, installer and customer dashboards, warranty registration and service ticket integration within the broader energy management ecosystem.
– Maintain monthly competitive intelligence tracker covering key rivals, tracking price, features, efficiency, warranty, availability, channel, service and new launches.
– Coordinate cross‑functional efforts across R&D, engineering, OEM, quality, sourcing, manufacturing, sales, marketing, service and finance; drive projects without formal authority.

REQUIREMENTS
– 5–10 years of experience in solar inverter, power electronics or renewable energy.
– Strong understanding of grid‑tie/on‑grid inverters and solar PV systems.
– Experience in product development or product management.
– Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturers.
– Knowledge of BIS, IEC and grid compliance requirements.
– Strong commercial acumen and analytical/problem‑solving skills.
– Ability to collaborate with engineering and business teams.
– Preferred: experience in solar inverter manufacturing, C&I solar, EPC, distributed energy, battery storage, hybrid inverters, energy management systems, IoT/remote monitoring, solar monitoring platforms.

We are looking for a
