ROLE
– Lead and manage the complete Imports function, from shipment planning to final delivery.
– Manage relationships with overseas suppliers, CHAs, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
– Identify and develop overseas suppliers while driving cost-effective sourcing.
– Negotiate freight, logistics, and other import-related costs to optimize landed cost.
– Monitor import shipments and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
– Ensure accurate and timely import documentation and compliance with customs procedures, tariffs, licenses, and internal policies.
– Coordinate with Finance on import bills, payments, LC documentation, and related processes.
– Prepare and review Import MIS covering shipments, costs, vendor performance, and key activities.
– Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Factory, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
– Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve lead times, and streamline import processes.
– Lead and mentor the Imports team and ensure timely execution of responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS
– 8–12+ years of experience in Imports / International Logistics / Supply Chain.
– Strong knowledge of customs procedures, tariffs, duties, and import documentation.
– Experience in managing overseas suppliers, CHAs, freight forwarders, and international logistics.
– Strong commercial negotiation and cost-optimization skills.
– Good understanding of import compliance and LC processes.
– Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
– Proficiency in English.
– Graduate in any discipline; Supply Chain / Logistics qualification is an advantage.
