ROLE
– Own the complete product lifecycle of Loom Solar PV modules, from market research to product improvement.
– Manage the full module portfolio across residential, C&I, utility‑scale, DCR, non‑DCR, domestic, export, and special applications.
– Develop a 3‑year solar module product roadmap, defining product families, wattage ranges, dimensions, cell technology, efficiency targets, cost/W, pricing, and gross margin.
– Conduct market and customer research, interacting with dealers, distributors, EPCs, system integrators, installers, C&I customers, project developers, government and utility customers, and export clients; translate feedback into product requirements.
– Lead product development: create PRDs, select cells, design BOM, prototype, test, certify, pilot and mass‑produce modules.
– Oversee solar cell and BOM management, evaluating cells, materials, and components for performance, cost, and availability.
– Own product cost management, tracking cell, BOM, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, warranty costs; drive continuous cost reduction while maintaining quality.
– Collaborate with manufacturing to improve module efficiency, line yield, throughput, first‑pass yield, scrap, and overall reliability; support NPI through pilot, validation, and mass production.
– Manage quality and reliability feedback loop, monitor defects, conduct RCA/CAPA, and implement product improvements.
– Own certification and compliance roadmap, coordinating BIS, IEC, ALMM, DCR, MNRE, utility, and export‑market certifications; maintain compliance matrix.
– Develop product warranty strategy, calculate warranty risk, provision, and impact on product cost.
– Set product pricing and commercial strategy across retail, dealer, distributor, EPC, C&I, utility, government, and export channels; monitor competitor pricing.
– Conduct competitive intelligence, maintain monthly competitor tracker, and translate insights into product and pricing decisions.
– Lead product launch activities: naming, positioning, datasheets, technical specs, installation guidelines, warranty documents, packaging, photography, sales presentations, dealer communications, and training coordination.
